Import data into Microsoft Excel

Data retrieved from the Oxygen Logger is sasved as .txt-file and can be imported into Microsoft Excel.

1. Open the new Excel document.
2. Go to the tab ‘Data’ and under ‘Get external data’ (NO: Hent eksterne kilder) on the left side of the tab.
3. Chose ‘From Text’ (NO: Fra tekst) and find your file and follow text import wizard.
   • Define your data type:
     • Set as ‘Delimited’ (NO: Data med skilletegn).
     • Start import at row: 1 (NO: Start import ved rad).
     • File origin: Windows (ANSI) (NO: filopprinnelse).
   • Define the delimiters:
     • Use ‘Tab’ (tabulator) for the dataset.
   • Last overview of the dataset (dataset looks OK and organized?).
     • Column data format: General (Kolonnedataformat: Standard).
   • Finish the text import wizard

Data to be assessed: calibration data, time, oxygen, compensation temperatures, pressure, salinity.
